2001-2018 Nissan Frontier Sub Box Extended Cab Ported The 2001-2018 Nissan Frontier Extended Cab has the space to be used for a stereo system but the awkward floor makes it difficult to just set a sub box back there. This down fire design is 2.46cuft with 10 1/2″ of mounting depth and just slips into place behind the front seats and fires the subs down at the floor. Because this is a down fire design you get the added acoustical benefit but also get some protection for the subs, since you won’t, you can still store stuff on top of the box without worrying about damaging them. This box will hold a wide variety of subs with Atwo 10s or one 12, up to three 8s and even some ported options for single subs. A couple of ported subs down fire in this truck sounds fantastic. Let me know what you would like to do and I will get it made for you. The rear seating will be unusable with this box since it sits where the seats would have folded down. This is a ported subwoofer box. Ported subwoofer boxes are for customers who want louder, deeper bass with the lower bass more pronounced. Because of the ported design, the bass will not be as tight and punchy as a sealed box, but there is double the bass of a sealed box with the same subs. A sealed subwoofer box has a tight and punchy bass that is more articulate and truer to the music with a more natural sound. If tight, punchy bass is what you want then our sealed box will be what you want. This is our ported design. This design is for maximum airspace and the airspace of the box can be reduced if desired. Our ported boxes are designed according to your subwoofer’s specifications. No two boxes will really be alike. The nickel-plated spring-loaded speaker terminals are mounted on the back of the box and the speaker wires are soldered on for a solid and reliable connection.
