00-06 Toyota Tundra Extended Cab Sub Box Console Ported The 2000-2006 Toyota Tundra Extended Cabs are about as limited on space as any truck, if not worse! The rear seats are sitting on top of storage bins in the floor and there is no space behind the rear seat. But I do have a solution! The Tundra’s that have a separate plastic center console that isn’t attached to the dash have an option. The center console can be removed and my subwoofer enclosure can be installed. The sub box is a down fire design for either a 8″ or 10” single sub. The sub box uses the factory cup holder out of the original console for a factory look and functionality. The rear of the sub box butts up against the front of the rear seat and the length of the sub box depends on how many subs you go with. The single sub version puts the cup holder in the factory location and the dual sub setup moves the cup holder forward about 5”. They are both very stealthy and functional. This is a ported subwoofer box. Ported subwoofer boxes are for customers who want louder, deeper bass with the lower bass more pronounced. Because of the ported design, the bass will not be as tight and punchy as a sealed box, but there is double the bass of a sealed box with the same subs. A sealed subwoofer box has a tight and punchy bass that is more articulate and truer to the music with a more natural sound. If tight, punchy bass is what you want then our sealed box will be what you want. This box is made of 3/4″ MDF and is fully carpeted in matching carpet. The nickel-plated spring-loaded speaker terminals are mounted on the back of the box and the speaker wires are soldered on for a solid and reliable connection.
