It follows typical Toyota fashion where there is not a lot of room for adding subwoofers, but we have a solution that will fit underneath the back seat of this truck. Instead of the floor of this truck being flat and going up under the back seat it steps up under the seat to cover up the metal brackets that the seats are bolted into. To fill the gaps in the floor is about 3.25″ of hard styrofoam. So, for our box to fit in the floor, you follow our included, easy to flow instructions and cut the foam and carpet and the box will drop right in. Because of the proximity of the subs to the bottom of the seats, grills are recommended to help keep the seat’s carpet off the speaker. This box is 1.84cuft of airspace and will work great for some shallow 8s, 10s or 12s. You can run 8s if you wish, but there is a lot of airspace for one or two 8s, but more than that would work fine. Mounting depth is only 4.25″ so shallow mount subs are a must. Because of the limited space in this sub box, please specify what speakers you are wanting to use so that we can make sure that they will work in it. This is a sealed subwoofer box. A sealed subwoofer box has a tight and punchy bass that is more articulate and truer to the music with a more natural sound. For customers who want louder deeper bass with the lower bass more pronounced. Because of the ported design, the bass will not be as tight and punchy, but there is double the bass of a sealed box with the same subs.
